FNL grib2 2019-2020: error running metgrid.exe

Hello everyone,

I am getting when I am running metgrid.exe using FNL data for 2019-2020.

I am running geogrid.exe and ungrib.exe without any error, but when I am launching metgrid.exe I am getting several WRF_DEBUG warnings for quite a lot of parameters and when it starts processing the first date (e.g. 2019-11-15_00) I am getting the following error:


WRF_DEBUG: Warning DIM 4, NAME num_metgrid_levels REDEFINED by var

VV 35 34 in wrf_io.F90 line 2588

ERROR: Error in ext_pkg_write_field

I am also getting the same error when I am using WRFDomainWizard and create the same domain as above and running metgrid.exe just for November and December 2019.

I never got a similar error when I was using FNL for 2012 or 2014 and running WRFDomainWizard or using WPS method.

Did any of you ever have a similar error when using FNL? What could be the cause of this error?
