Error while running WRF module 3.9 onwards

Any issues with the actual running of the WRF.

Error while running WRF module 3.9 onwards

Postby itesh » Wed May 30, 2018 11:14 am

I have compiled WRF 3.9, 3.9.1 and Compiled with gcc/gfortran and mpich. The compilation is successful and was able to run until metgrid. When I run real.exe I kep getting this error, which does not suggest much.

module_io_quilt_old.F 2931 T

Program received signal SIGSEGV: Segmentation fault - invalid memory reference.

Backtrace for this error:
#0 0x7FFFEC6F2377
#1 0x7FFFEC6F298E
#2 0x7FFFEBA8350F
#3 0x7FFFECA4E52B
#4 0x4162D8 in MAIN__ at real_em.f90:?

While I see the older versions of WRF model do not have these module files in the frame directory.

Need suggestions on how to solve this issue.

The other SIGSEGV error related post suggests that the issue is related to Data. But I used the same data file with WRF version 3.8 and it runs fine.
