Hi themis,

I've seen this when I used different compilers for NETCDF libraries and WRF. Did you install netcdf libraries from a repository and using pgf compiler with WRF?

What initial datasets are you all using?

These may be related to the chosen Vtable during preprocessing. make sure you have all the relevant fields from gribprep so that real.exe can do its thing. using the wrong Vtable will result in not having enough information for real to run ... metgrid may finish but you need to look at the log files or intermediate files to verify this.

Hi all,

I have the same problem, but I discovered that the name of variables are different between the variable in the met_nmm*.nc file and which variable real_nmm.exe requests.

For example : Temperature is called "TT" in met_nmm*.nc file and "T" in the real_nmm.exe.

I use the Vtable called "Vtable.GFS" ... Is this Vtable works with NMM ? :?

Thanks

I have same problem, anyone can resolved?

I am new in WRF model, but i think the met_nmm.d* has a diferent name to variables than in the real_nmm.exe. I dont locate were is the name of variables in real_nmm.exe.

I don't locate were is the list with name of variables in real_nmm.exe.

thanks

Hi,

It's probably because you don't use the correct GFS input. The correct GFS input is " pgrb2f " which is different but very similar than " pgrb2f2 ".

I hope this will help you.

Thanks for atention,

But the my problem was not resolved.

With "pgrb2f" GFS data, in WPS I run all .exe (geogrid.exe, ungrib.exe and metgrid.exe) without problems and is generated the met_nmm.d*.

In WRFnmm, i'm tried run real_nmm.exe and the mensage in rsl.error.0000 is:

taskid: 0 hostname: adm

Using ncdump in met_nmm.d* to see the variables names and is UU, VV, TT, for example. But like we see in rsl.error.0000 the variable name searched is U, V, T, etc..

Is like the name of variables inside of real_nmm.exe is diferent of the generated in met_nmm.d* by WPS.

Any idea about this problem?

Thanks

Hi,

In fact, i've had this problem as you can see here : viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1260
but I forget the solution of this problem.

Are you sure that all your libraries are ok ?
What are your fortran and c compiler ?
Have you ever recompile wrf ?

Hello,

Are you sure that all your libraries are ok ? I hope yes :) (Netcdf, Jasper, PHDF5).
What are your fortran and c compiler ? I use de gfortran.
Have you ever recompile wrf ? sometimes.

Thanks
