redirect rsl.* files?

Any issues with the actual running of the WRF.

redirect rsl.* files?

Postby twhilton » Tue Nov 06, 2018 7:15 pm

Hello,

I'm running WRF on a cluster, and I would like to redirect anything that can grow large to scratch space, while keeping run settings in my home directory (which won't get purged while I'm not looking). Is there any way to make rsl.out* and rsl.err* go somewhere other than the directory where WRF is run?

Thanks.

See the file "README.rsl_output" in the source code main directory.

As you will see, the output directory will be TASKOUTPUT. Just make that a symbolic link to the directory
where you want your run files to go.

If you know C, you could play around with external/RSL_LITE/c_code.c.

THANK YOU, that's very helpful. I read read through all the namelist settings and READMEs but I had not gone back to the source directories, and had forgotten that there are lots of READMEs there too.

Cheers,
