problem compiling with rocks 5.4, gcc 4.6.1

Hi,

I'm having a problem building nmm_real. I get a lot of lines that are like

make[3]: [some .o file or some .a file name] Error 1 (ignored)

Are those a problem? The first thing that looks like a real error is

USE module_driver_constants

Fatal Error: Can't open module file 'module_driver_constants.mod' for reading at (1): No such file or directory

Prior to that I don't see any errors related to module_driver_constants.

Then I get a lot the same error for different .mod files

I'm using:
wrfv3.3
rocks cluster sw 5.4
gcc 4.6.1
openmpi 1.4.3
netcdf 4.1.3

Does anyone have any clues?

thanks,
Ferb

I found part of my problem. In configure.wrf the flags set on FCOPTIM are causing things to not compile. The configured line is
FCOPTIM = -O3 -ftree-vectorize -ftree-loop-linear -funroll-loops

When I replace that with just -O2 the build gets a lot farther. Then I hit the random_seed errors I've seen other people talk about.

Hey mate been experiencing the same problem for a while now. I tried what you did but no luck yet. Do you have any other suggestion there? I am getting really frustrated now regarding this. :(
