WRFChem 3.7.1 compile convert_emiss.exe

Postby mike_wrf » Mon Jan 25, 2016 6:40 am

Hi All

I have a strange error compiling WRFChem v3.7.1.

The main executables compile (ndown.exe real.exe tc.exe wrf.exe), but convert_emiss.exe does not compile.
My environment variables are:
export WRF_CHEM=1
export EM_CORE=1
export FLEX_LIB_DIR=/usr/local/lib
export WRF_KPP=1
export YACC='/usr/bin/yacc -d'
export NMM_CORE=0

gfortran --version
GNU Fortran (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.4.7-1ubuntu2) 4.4.7

OS: Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS

on ./configure I run option 34:
# Settings for Linux x86_64 ppc64le, gfortran compiler with gcc (dmpar)

For compile I run:
./compile em_real >& compile.log

Is anyone else having similar issues?
Am I missing something obvious like the option on compile?
I read previous posts mentioning the version of gfortran is problematic but wrf.exe did compile correctly.
At a bit of a loss here so any help would be appreciated.

Dear all
We have performed all the steps for compilation and execution of WRF Chem model.
But The same command is showing i.e ''Testing for Net CDF, c , Fortran compiler, one of the compiler testing failed"
Please suggest some suitable options.

Hi,

It is much easier to download and install netcdf using a package manager e.g: use sudo apt-get install libnetcdf-dev
