Execute prep_chem_sources problem

Any issues with running WRF Chemistry

Execute prep_chem_sources problem

Postby Tornerdo » Thu Jul 02, 2015 3:01 pm

Greetings,

When I set my links and options in prep_chem_sources.inp, it seems as though the code runs correctly (no errors). However, the binary files don't seem to be present when the code is finished, but these files are:

-rw-r--r-- 1 srahimi ncar 2791 Jul 2 12:45 queima-src-T-2004-10-01-000000-g1.ctl
-rw-r--r-- 1 srahimi ncar 15171968 Jul 2 12:45 queima-src-T-2004-10-01-000000-g1.gra
-rw-r--r-- 1 srahimi ncar 13699876 Jul 2 12:45 queima-src-T-2004-10-01-000000-g1.vfm

Is this correct? I don't see the ab and bb.bin files....

Thanks!

If I run prep_chem_sources...exe with use_bbem=1, use_bbem_plumerise=1, I get the following error:

forrtl: severe (29): file not found, unit 10, file /glade/scratch/srahimi/WRF_CHEM/anthro/Global_emissions_v3/Emission_data/fires_data/WF_ABBA_v60/filt/f20042750015.namer.v60.g12.

The files being called are incomplete. The path is correct, but the file being called is incorrect. The file that should be called is f20042750015.namer.v60.g12.filt, but as you can see above, the code is calling 20042750015.namer.v60.g12. It's missing the "filt". How do I fix this?

Stefan,

I am having a similar problem when running prep_chem_sources_RACM.exe. Only the ".ctl", ".gra", and ".vfm" files are being created. None of the bin files are being produced. At the very end of the executable, I get the following message, "Module WRF not installed". Did you receive this as well?

Were you able to figure out your problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Ari

Hello, you state you were able to run run prep_chem_sources_RADM_WRF_FIM.exe correctly. Could you please help me out? Even though I have checked and rechecked my paths, it is not finding the files it´s looking for for the bbem_wfabba_data_dir. Here is the error message:

Checking directory -

I have tried this in all different kinds of ways, but I always get the same type of error. The path is correct and all the f files are there, right where I am point to with the input file.
Could you please tell me what your tree directory looks like for these files? Thank you!

villamen, which version of WRF-Chem are you using? It turns out there is a bug running prep_chem_sources for V3.7. Therefore, I had to build my anthropogenic emissions datasets using V3.6 and then copy them over to my V3.7 directory. Let me know if you have any further questions.
