Having problems running the WRF Preprocessing Sysmte (WPS)?

Metgrid failing to find WEST-EAST_GRID_DIMENSION

Postby dankd » Wed Dec 12, 2018 11:55 am

Hi all,

I'm trying to set up WPS to run using HRRR inputs. I can run ungrib and geogrid successfully, but when I got to run metgrid it complains that it can't find the west-east grid dimension.

I'm running version 4.0.1

Here's the error message:
Code: Select all
Processing domain 1 of 2
 WRF_DEBUG: NetCDF error: NetCDF: Attribute not found
 WRF_DEBUG: NetCDF error in ext_ncd_get_dom_ti.code INTEGER, line          83  Element WEST-EAST_GRID_DIMENSION
ERROR: Error while reading domain time-independent attribute.

and here's the ncdump -h of the geo_em.d01.nc file:
Code: Select all
netcdf geo_em.d01 {
dimensions:
        Time = UNLIMITED ; // (1 currently)
        DateStrLen = 19 ;
        west_east = 91 ;
        south_north = 157 ;
        south_north_stag = 158 ;
        west_east_stag = 92 ;
        land_cat = 21 ;
        soil_cat = 16 ;
        month = 12 ;

and here's my namelist.wps:

Code: Select all
