PROBLEM WITH CFSR's DATA and UNGRIB

Postby ar_edu_ag » Wed Sep 25, 2019 1:05 pm

Hi people,
i'm a very new user so i need help with some problem of the Data from CFSR. The problem happens when i get Subset data from CFSR in South America, when i ungrib the "surface" files the intermediate files, by rd_intermediate.exe, show:
REF_LAT, REF_LON = -30130100.000000, 285.000000

So, when i used metgrid.exe, it falls and show:

ERROR: Gaussian_latitude_computation
Note: The following floating-point exceptions are signalling: IEEE_OVERFLOW_FLAG IEEE_UNDERFLOW_FLAG IEEE_DENORMAL
Oops, something is not right with the Gaussian latitude computation.
The input data gave the starting latitude as -90.000.
This routine computed the starting latitude as +- 89.761.
The difference is larger than 0.01 degrees, which is not expected.

when i used the pressure file of the subset and the surface file of the data from the entire global data, the metgrid.exe works. I really need a help with that, because a have to simulate one year, so i need a large file, too heavy for download of global data.

Thanks!!!
