Changing parameters

Postby PrometeusWillLive » Thu May 21, 2009 1:48 pm

Dear sir in charge of WRF, dear all,

I have been trying to couple a software to simulate urban conditions (UCM), and it has different input parameters compared to Kusaka model.

I have shifted some of them in physics, namely the following files:
-module_sf_noahlsm.F
-module_surface_driver.F
-module_physics_init.F

For my surprise, when I compile the entire program again, the correspondent files in main directory simply disappear.
-module_sf_noahlsm.mod
-module_surface_driver.mod
-module_physics_init.mod
-module_myucm.mod

What should I do to solve the problem? By the way, may it be a problem of my software?

Thanks in advance,

Hi-
It sounds like the new code did not compile. The compile log file should have line numbers (hopefully) so you can go back and check your code (the files where the line numbers are referenced are the *.f files since these files have the comments stripped out by the parser).

Hello,
I am trying some modifications into WRF modules in the subdirectories, and was wondering if I could compile only the subdirectory by using its Makefile instead of compiling the whole code.

As an example, I am trying to compile subdirectory WRFV3/frame only, but make fails with the following error:
make[338]: execvp: /bin/sh: Argument list too long
make[338]: *** [esmf_time] Error 127
.
.

Any information would be appreciated.
