I failed on antarctica nesting running when I set "ref_lat = -90.0"
in namelist.wps. Running of program real.exe succeeded. But
program wrf.exe failed because segmentation fault. The error
message is "forrtl: severe (174): SIGSEGV, segmentation fault occurred".

I tried different time steps and vertical levels for many runs.
Errors occurred for each case at the same time as "radt" set in
namelist.input. wrf.exe succeeded when I run for a single domain.
wrf.exe also succeeded when "ref_lat = -89.0" is set in namelist.wps
for nesting runnings.

I used NCEP FNL ds083.0 data as meteorological input.

Why wrf.exe failed for "ref_lat = -90.0"? Is it a bug of wrf.exe?
Can anybody help me?

I attached my namelist.wps,input and logs of wrf.exe (rsl.error.0000).

I found undefined variables (NaNf) in met_em* files. It seems metgrid.exe program has bugs when interpolating data for ref_lat=-90.

I changed ref_lat=-90 to -89.99 and got right results. I worked at Linux & ifort. wrfhelp tested it at Mac OS & gfortran and got right results with ref_lat=-90. This problem may happen depends on the compiler and/or OS.
